who first took refuge[2]
are Tapassu and Bhallika, the tradesmen.

who is a giver
is Sudatto Anāthapiṇḍiko.

who teach Dhamma
is Citto gahapati (The Housefather) Macchikasandiko.

who has gathered-round a group
by using the four basics for making friends[3]
is Hatthako Alavako.

who gives plentiful food
is Mahānamo Sakko.
