Ekaɱ samayaɱ Bhagavā Sāvatthiyaɱ viharati.|| ||

Tatra kho Bhagavā bhikkhu āmantesi:|| ||

"Bhikkhavo" ti.|| ||

"Bhadante" ti te bhikkhū Bhagavato paccassosuɱ.|| ||

Bhagavā etad avoca:|| ||

"Pañc'ime bhikkhave, ānisaɱsā dhammasavaṇe.|| ||

Katame pañca?|| ||

Assutaɱ suṇāti,||
sutaɱ pariyodapeti,||
kaŋkhaɱ vitarati,||
diṭṭhiɱ ujuɱ karoti,||
cittamassa pasīdati.|| ||

Ime kho bhikkhave, pañca ānisaɱsā dhammasavaṇeti.|| ||
