Ekaɱ samayaɱ Bhagavā Sāvatthiyaɱ viharati.|| ||

Tatra kho Bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi:|| ||

'Bhikkhavo' ti.|| ||

'Bhadante' ti te bhikkhū Bhagavato paccassosuɱ.|| ||

Bhagavā etad avoca:|| ||

Aṭṭh'ime bhikkhave, ariyavohārā.|| ||

Katame aṭṭha?|| ||

Adiṭṭhe adiṭṭhavāditā,||
asute asutavāditā,||
amute amutavāditā,||
aviññāte aviññātavāditā,||
diṭṭhe diṭṭhavāditi,||
sute sutavāditā,||
mute mutavāditā,||
viññāte viññātavāditā.|| ||

Imā kho bhikkhave, aṭṭha ariyavohārā ti.|| ||
