He followed his son's example, saying: 'My son left the world when he was young; why should not I leave it?' So he, too, sought the Master, and in due course realized arahahtship and uttered his psalm:

[108] A hundred years was I and eke a score,
When forth I went and knew my home no more.
The Threefold Wisdom have I made my own,
And all the Buddha's ordinance is done.
