At one time The Blessed One was living in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta's grove in Sāvatthī.

Bhikkhus, these seven are the bonds.

What seven?

The bonds of falling in with,
aversion,
views,
doubts,
measuring,
the greed to be
and ignorance.

Bhikkhus, these seven are the bonds.
