Quittance of Craftiness 3
[903.1] Thus have I heard:
Once the Exalted One dwelt near Sāvatthī;
and there he addressed the monks, saying:
"Monks."
'Yes, lord,' they replied;
and the Exalted One said:
''Monks, for the quittance of craftiness
five things ought to be made to become.
What five?
Of impermanence,
of ill in impermanence,
of there being no-self in ill,
of renunciation,
of dispassion.
Verily, monks, for the quittance of craftiness
these five things ought to be made to become.'
