Ekaɱ samayaɱ Bhagavā Sāvatthiyaɱ viharati.|| ||

Tatra kho Bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi:|| ||

'Bhikkhavo' ti.|| ||

'Bhadante' ti te bhikkhū Bhagavato paccassosuɱ.|| ||

Bhagavā etad avoca:|| ||

Tīhi bhikkhave aŋgehi samannāgato mitto sevitabbo.|| ||

Katamehi tīhi?|| ||

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu duddadaɱ dadāti,||
dukkaraɱ karoti,||
dukkhamaɱ khamati.|| ||

Imehi ko bhikkhave tihi aŋgehi samannāgato mitto sevitabboti.|| ||
