XIII. Jhāna Saṁyutta, III.263
Covering suttas 1-55. This is a wheel sutta ranking pairs of types of jhāna practitioners and playing them out each against all the others.
Woodward's abridgment has pretty badly mangled the ability to roll out this wheel so I have done my own translation. It can definitely make your eyes cross. I understand that an original practice of the repeaters was to recite the suttas 'in round'. This would absolutely force concentration as even a momentary lapse into listening to one of the other groups would cause one to hopelessly lose one's place.
